Appalling writing

Poor spelling, inaccurate grammar, americanisms and semi-literate columnists make the online edition of The Independent unworthy of the title of a serious newspaper.

A little attention to style, grammar and punctuation would possibly help, but the total absence of qualified sub-editors make this paper a pain to read.

Errors we might have looked forward to pointing out in the Guardian 40 years ago appear all too regularly in the Independent. What a shame.
